Era

In the context of Vine, an era refers to a fixed period of time (1 hour) during which the validators are collecting and processing new transactions. At the end of each era, a new set of validators is selected through a process called elections. The era system helps to ensure the network's decentralization by allowing different participants to take turns serving as validators and encouraging the involvement of a diverse set of participants.
