Who are Nominators?

Last updated 4 months ago

In a nominated proof of stake (NPoS) blockchain, a "nominator" is a participant who stakes their own VNE coins and also selects and nominates a set of validators to participate in the consensus process.

While the validators are responsible for verifying transactions and maintaining the integrity of the blockchain, the nominators play a role in the selection and oversight of the validators.

What Nominators Do

Nominators are incentivized to choose validators who will act in the best interest of the network, by staking their own VNE coins and by receiving a portion of the rewards earned by the validators they nominated.

Nominators can support up to 16 validators with their tokens (nominators may not nominate themselves.)
