Active State of Validator
An active validator is a validator in a blockchain network who is currently participating in the validation of transactions and the creation of new blocks. In a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, validators are chosen to validate transactions and create new blocks based on the amount of cryptocurrency they hold and are willing to "stake" as collateral.
Active validators are selected from the pool of validators who have staked a certain amount of cryptocurrency and meet the requirements to participate in the validation process. They are responsible for validating transactions, creating new blocks, and maintaining the integrity of the blockchain network.
Active validators are rewarded for their work, usually in the form of transaction fees or newly minted coins. They also may be penalized if they engage in malicious behavior or fail to perform their duties properly.
It's important to note that, the number of active validators can vary depending on the blockchain network, some networks may have a small number of active validators while others may have a larger number. Additionally, the selection process of active validators may also vary depending on the specific consensus mechanism and governance model of the blockchain network.
